Keane drives Moongate’s investment strategy. As the firm’s steward of capital, Keane oversees market analysis, acquisitions, financing, risk management, and investor relations.

Before founding Moongate Capital Partners, Keane was an analyst at Russell Investments, a multibillion-dollar global asset manager. Immersed in portfolio management for nearly three years, he decided to specialize in his favorite asset class: real estate. His interest in tangible assets is not only driven by its financial merits, but more so from a passion to create real world value—investments one can see, touch, and even smell. He inherits a deep-seated entrepreneurial drive from his parents, both of whom were small business owners their whole lives.

Keane graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Finance concentration from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, complemented by a Certificate of International Studies in Business (CISB).

He successfully passed all Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams in 15 months.

James leads construction operations, overseeing subcontractors and property managers, as well as ensuring compliance with zoning and regulatory standards. His direct involvement and commitment to superior quality ensures Moongate’s value-add renovations are expertly guided from the blueprints to the final nail.

James brings more than 30 years of construction expertise, launching his first construction company in 1989. He specialized in high-quality bathroom and kitchen renovations, along with comprehensive house remodels. Managing 10 construction crews and 135 projects annually, James fostered strong connections with premier designers, architects, and engineers, developing a deep understanding of construction quality and collaboration that will lead Moongate’s vertical integration.
